For Alejandra Aldana, that journey began with a strong belief in the importance of consistency, hard work and integrity.
An accomplished Colombian entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience leading businesses across the Middle East, Alejandra has built her career around more than business growth. Her vision has always been rooted in empowering women, inspiring confidence and creating opportunities for others.
Raised by a single mother, she learned early on that determination, effort and integrity could open doors. These values would become an important part of the way she approached both life and business.
Her journey also took her into the world of beauty and public presence. In 2004, she participated in Miss Colombia, becoming a finalist. Beyond the experience itself, it introduced her to the transformative relationship between beauty, self-care and confidence, shaping an interest that would later influence her entrepreneurial path.
From an idea to building two businesses in the UAE
In 2018, Alejandra founded Colombiana Dubai, becoming the first Colombian woman to open a retail shop in the UAE.
What began as an entrepreneurial vision continued to grow. In 2022, she expanded her work with the launch of Colombiana Wellness Center, described as the first Colombian post-surgical and aesthetics centre in the country.
Together, the two businesses have served more than 10,000 customers, created opportunities for over 60 families and surpassed initial growth projections by 700%.
These milestones reflect not only the expansion of two businesses, but also Alejandra's commitment to building something that creates value beyond herself.
